Coquetdale U3A is part of an informal network with the three other U3As in North Northumberland, that is Alnwick, Berwick and Wooler . We have also signed an agreement with Alnwick u3a so that members of both can participate in each others' interest groups. Alnwick's membership fees are higher than Coquetdale u3a's annual subscription fees so it has been agreed that for Coquetdale members to participate in their groups, our members will need to take out associate membership at 50% of their annual costs. However, there would be no further charges for meeting room or running costs. Wooler are also happy for our members to attend their meetings and we currently have a few people from Coquetdale regularly attending their Geology group.
