Our group is for anyone interested in speaking and learning Italian, from complete beginners who can just about order a coffee to those who are already fairly fluent. We welcome people of all abilities and aim to create a friendly, relaxed, and supportive atmosphere where everyone can build confidence at their own pace.
Each session, we either choose a topic to chat about or agree beforehand to bring along a set number of questions to keep the conversation flowing and make sure everyone gets involved. Expect plenty of lively discussion, new vocabulary, cultural discoveries, and the occasional dramatic hand gesture!
Most importantly, the group is all about having fun. Nobody minds mistakes — in fact, they often give us our biggest laughs. There’s absolutely no judgement, just lots of encouragement, good humour, and a shared love of learning Italian together.
We meet at The Queen’s Head on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 2pm–4pm. Jordann and the team at The QH have kindly allowed us to use the room free of charge — all we ask is that members support the venue by buying a hot or cold drink from the bar.

We keep in touch through a WhatsApp group, which is the best place for updates, reminders, and the occasional bit of Italian inspiration! It’s important to check the group regularly, as meeting dates can sometimes change, particularly around bank holidays or other events.
